Segway! (no there not lame!) at the ZOO!

On Wednesday of our CA trip we went to the Wild Animal Park! It was really cool, we did not really get to see all of it but we toured Africa and Asia on the Segway's...that was really fun.....
This is Michelle's bird...she said something about take a picture because she wanted to remember the colors so she can use them in her 'new place'....OOOOkkkkkk.....here you go!

Gorillia's....

Yea...they really didn't do very much....

Although we did determine that Matthew is the height of a gorillia we also determined that if one ate Kaitlyn you couldn't even tell....

Now if Kaitlyn at a gorillia...well that would be a different story, so she just decided on an ice cream bar....maybe my veggie ways are rubbing off on her....

We wanted to race the cheeta's on the Segway's but we were afraid of loosing!!!

Sunny! Who once she stopped trying to wear her helmet like a hat, really got the hang of it!

Matthew who I think had a change of heart about Segways!

Kait got the hand of it pretty quickly, she did have a hard time stopping because she is so light! They told her to stick her butt out and lean back to stop...the rest of us just had to stand up straight....hmmmm

Rino!

Can you spot the rinos in this picture!

Ummm, I really don't know what this look was for..really I don't....what...what did I do....???

This was one of the lion cubs...they were so cute!

The zoo had a really neat butterfly exhibit. Can you tell Kaitlyn was just thrilled with it!!!! I think she was ready to jump off another cliff!!!! It was a very fun day at the zoo. That evening we ate dinner at Red Robin for Matthews birthday and we got to meet some folks from the church. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a chocolate chip cookie cake in CA? Michelle found one with Happy Easter on it...we had them take that off and write Happy Birthday Matthew...but they left on the little plastic easter bunnie rings as a bonus!

OMG She jumped off a freakin cliff!

So...Kaitlyn has been wanting to go skydiving..but everywhere we checked you have to be 18 years old, even to go tandem....BUT....where there is a will, there is a way....Sunny found a place called the Torrey Pines Glider Port that offers Paragliding...So, we rode up, walked in, signed up and about 15 minutes later ( and a zillion forms saying I would not hold them responsible if she FREAKIN DIED...) she was in a flight suit and getting ready to jump....no...if you are wondering...I was perfectly calm....I just kept repeating the CA montra....It's all Good.....
Kait was the calm one......

Yea, we were all pretty much screaming at this point! But unlike sky diving, when you run off the cliff, instead of going down....you go up with the wind currents..

just repeat...it's all good....it's all good....it's all good....ok, now move on to the next picture....

We were told very rarely they have to land on the beach, if they lose the wind. You can't tell from the picture...but the beach is a nude beach.....repeat after me...it's all good...it's all good....

Fortunately they did not have to land on the beach....

They glided up and down the coast for about 30 minutes....it was amazing...

See...it's all good!!

Coming in for a landing! Next time it's my turn!

Chris Tomlin!

Sunday night Kait, Becca, Becca's friend Tandi and I went to a Chris Tomlin concert. It was an amazing night of worship...I wish you all could have been there with us...
Pictures of the band for Matthew!

Thats the side of Kaitlyn's head, next to the guy in the white shirt with the huge tub of popcorn!!!

This was the opening act, sorry, can't remember the name! He wrote..I am a friend of God....Sangster clan, you know that one right!!!

It was an amazing night!

Supercross!!!

So, many of you know that Kaitlyn and Preston are now just friends. Well one of the new experiences Kaitlyn had while dating Preston was to be exposed to motor cross....she really likes watching the races! So SuperCross came to the Jax Stadium and we got tickets. It was AWESOME! We spent the day watching the practice races, the qualifying races and then the final heats....it was really a lot of fun! The number 7 rider is James Stewart and he was really cool to watch. The last race was a really thrilling....but he pulled it out!
This is when the number 7 bike over took the leader, once he grabbed the lead he was off......

You can see how close they were, and how high the jump!

These pictures are some of the stunt drivers. They ride for yeagermier or mister or something...ok just read this like it's spelled...I think its some kind of liquor or beer or something....can you tell I don't drink...

This was the start of one of the races, I honestly don't know how they made it around the first turn without all falling over..

Now this is a whip....

Awesome!

James Stewart

too much beer....

Practice run

This pictures for Todd! They actually had a ceremony on the track where they swore in air force guys....it was really touching...Kait and I and Becca had a great time at the races....SuperCross ROCKS!!!!!!
