The Adventure Begins!

Ok, so I figured everyone else had a blog, so why not me....of course I have no idea how to 'blog' how to add pictures, change stuff, link to others, have others link to me, and who really knows when I will ever update this.....but hey, it's all good!

Kaitlyn and I had an interesting summer. We started out by taking a trip to Aruba! (did you know Aruba is very very dry? Almost desert like? ya...who knew?)

Anyway, it was beautiful. We took a jeep tour, an off road jeep tour, and guess what, I drove!

We went all over the island, one side (the more tourist area) has sandy beaches, low waves, this is where you snorkle

and sail, the other side of the island has very rocky cliffs, waves crash on the shore and you can see evidence of lots of erosion.

One of the areas we went to is a natural pool that has been carved out of the rocky coastline. While you are swimming the waves crash on the outer wall and shower you with sea water! During high tides and high winds they close the pool because you can get swept out to sea!

We also spent a day at the spa....ahhhhh fruity body scrubs should be at least a monthly occurance......but I digress......we also went on a snorkling trip and saw a sunken ship, lots of fish and coral. We spent a day shopping in town and took a sunset cruise around part of the coast. We spent time just enjoying the pool, but you have to watch out for the lizzards! They have iguana's running around everywhere!

While I enjoyed my time with Kaitlyn and in Aruba, I do not think I would go back. In general it is very dirty, dusty and the wind blows ALL THE TIME! But it was fun to see a part of the world that we had never been to.
