Jenny's Thanksgiving Visit

The Friday after Thanksgiving Jenny came down for a visit. We went around the island and took some photo's. (I'll let Jenny surprise you with some of those!) She was showing us some yoga poses....I think this one is called let sleeping dogs lie.....or something like that!

A nice lady at Christ Church took this picture of us, I think it's called old lady with two daughters...yeah...that's what I remember running through my head as I held this pose.....

Kait and Jenny....ohmmmmmm...ohmmmmmm, I think this one is called....oh tae....no wait...the hand position is different for that one.....

Ok, I think this one was the hide and seek pose....look Mom no hands!

This is the classic 'I have no bones left that don't hurt, my muscles are worn out...pose.

This is the ya right Jenny I've had enough yoga for today thank you pose.

This is the 'you can NEVER get enough yoga nija pose.'

Not to be outdone and taking a lesson from Todd at easter, Kaitlyn moves right into the ever popular (at least in the best circles) flamingo pose.
We had a lot of fun, got a lot of really strange looks, and laughed pretty much all day...And for that I am eternally Thankful.

Jack the Attack Cat

So, did you know I have a cat! Yeah, go figure! Jack charmed his way into Kaitlyn's heart about a year ago. He was a stray that her hair dresser at the time had saved. (she actually saved 4 little kitties.....I count myself lucky that I only ended up with one!) Captain Jack is a good cat, but he likes to pretend he is a jungle cat. Oh...he'll act all mild mannered and then hiiiii yaaaaaa he'll jump out from some corner or shelf or cabinet and attack! He especially likes to attack Kaitlyn! Personally I think it's kinda funny! She chases him and then he will wait until he hears her coming and hide, once she has walked by he jumps out at her! Jack is not a cuddly cat (it's beneath his dignity) but he does like to be where ever you are. In these pictures Kait was working on a school project and he thought he would assist!
Did I mention that cats and live Christmas trees don't mix? (yeah, learned that one the hard was last year) So....this year we got a fake tree. Well now Jack considers it his personal jungle gym.

He's hiding from Kait........just wait for it....just wait for it.......

I am a great jungle cat, from my perch high above the African plain I stalk my prey.......

He also likes to smell feet......don't ask me....I guess it's a cat thing!!!!!

Dad and Wilba's visit!

My Dad and his wife Wilba live in Arkansas and they came down for a visit. I really miss seeing my Dad and it is always so much fun to get together! My spirit receives a blessing when we get together with Dad and Wilba. They were here for 6 days and all 6 days were just beautiful. The Wednesday they left....rain! We decided to spend a day in Fernandina and Chad came along! Her are some pictures taken at Fort Clinch.

We had a really fun day. If you are ever in the Fernandina area, make sure a visit the Fort, it's a really cool place to soak up some history and see a civil war fort that is still intact. This is a state park for Florida and also has some wonderful biking trails, camping, fishing pier and beach. And...we went on Veterans day, so admission was Free! (it doesn't get any better than free!)

Sumner Family Reunion

So, once a year Kevin's mom's side of the family all get together in Waycross for a big family reunion. It is always fun to see everyone and watch families grow and kids change! The kids get older and the adults don't age at all!!!

This is Bob Boyne and WA Sumner (Austeen's brother!) watching the annual softball game!

This is Austeen (Kevin's mom) and her sister Betty.

Danielle went with us to the reunion.....sometimes family is who makes your heart feel like it's at home.

I have lots of other pictures of various family members, but since I really don't know how they would feel about having their pictures splashed all over my blog site, I will just post these for now! The reunion is always a lot a fun, I am glad that we get the time to reconnect with family.

Trip to the Aquariam

On Sunday after church we all went to the Georgia Aquariam! It was a really neat place. They have huge displays of various sea and fresh water creatures. Some are very bazar looking. Some are very scary looking! It's a good thing there was glass between them and me, I swear a few of them looked like they wanted to jump out of the tank and just suck onto my face....hey it could happen! (ok so I was tramatized by blood sucking leaches when I was a child and swimming in a lake....but that's a story for another day.....)

These are a few pictures of the more friendly creatures at the aquariam....and we got to take them home with us!

Ok, ONE of these creatures might be just a little scary.....but we took him home with us anyway! (MeMe...how did I manage not to get even ONE picture of you???)

Columbus Day with the Girls (Oh and Uncle Robert!)

For Columbus Day Kait and I jumped in the car and rode up to see Aunt Mary, Uncle Robert and Jenny. It was a bonus that we got to see and spend time with Lisa, Reagan and Kennedi (sorry guys not sure if I am spelling that right??) We had a ball! This was the first time for us to see Kennedi and she is such a happy baby! And just tooooooo cute! Kait and Jenny had a lot of fun playing outside in the churches yard with Reagan. The fall leaves made great toys and there was a big ole hill to run up and down! (and yes if you are wondering there was a conference that morning and all the girls decided to wear pink......jk!)

I thought this picture was cute, Reagen looks like she is saying 'blahck' ok guys enough with the kissing already!!!!

The first night Reagan arrived she treated her fans to a live concert. WE WERE NOT WORTHY!!!
Kaitlyn and I had so much fun. We really appreciate this family making us a part of them!

Homecoming Dances!

Kaitlyn is good friends with a young man named Thomas, she and Thomas and Danielle and her friend Conner all went to the Glynn Academy Homecoming dance together with a bunch of other kids that used to go to St. Francis. Prior to the dance Kait spent pretty much the day at the salon! She looked amazing! Each curl was sprayed and then curled with a curling iron, it took about two hours for her hair and about one hour for her makeup!

Who Is This Movie Star!

Kaitlyn and Danielle went dress shopping together and tried on...and I kid you not... about 200 dresses between the two of them. I think they picked the perfect dresses!

So the dance got over at 11, I picked her up at 11:45 and this was taken in our drive way at about midnight! (haven't we all had nights when we looked like this!)

The following weekend was Thomas' homecoming dance. So....back to the salon, more hair and makeup......3 hours later.....Wa La!

Lilly joined Kait at the salon, they had a great time and both had the "Wow" factor!

Kaitlyn and her friend Thomas, they have know each other since 1st grade, Isn't it nice to have friends you can count on and just go out and have fun with with!

High School - Homecoming Week

Homecoming week was last week for Glynn Academy. They like to do fun things for the kids, so each day was a different themed day. The first day was wear your PJ's to school day....I think it was by far the most comfortable day....I wonder if I could talk the bank into a wear your PJ's to work day???

Pictured below is decade day, Peace Out Baby....
Tacky day!

Twin day, she and her friend Danielle dressed alike! You'll have to trust me on that one, I don't actually have a picture of Danielle!

Finally, spirit day! Friday evening was the homecoming game, unfortunately Glynn lost....but the game was fun! Tomorrow is the big dance!
